One of the most memorable skateboarding magazine covers ever is Heath Kirchart's 50-50 on the tall curved white hubba in Santa Barbara, CA, which fronted the May 2004 issue of The Skateboard Mag. Part of what makes it so memorable is the story behind the process of getting the trick, which is shared a few pages into the same issue, along with a photo sequence. Words and photos by Dave Swift. Crazy to think that the footage of this trick was five years old when it came out in 2009's Mind Field.
