9 Frames Per Second - June 2012 Transworld

The two 9 Frames Per Second pictures in the June 2012 issue of Transworld are pretty cool. First, Josh Matthews ollies in & out at a San Francisco spot, and second is a big 360 flip by Caswell Berry.

Zack Wallin ollieing & kickflipping Vernon Street

Zack Wallin's Vernon Street ollie in Oakland that appeared in the Crops section of the June 2012 issue of The Skateboard Mag didn't seem possible when I saw it for the first time. Fast forward two years, and he kickflipped it for the July 2014 cover of Transworld. Still doesn't seem possible 8 years later.

New Jack: Lee Yankou

Lee Yankou's June 2012 New Jack interview came out in the same month that he had a Roll Call interview in Transworld, which was a lot of coverage for him in a short amount of time. As I said in the Roll Call post, it was for good reason because he was killing it at this time. Go watch his 2012 Business As Usual part if you haven't yet!!

TWS Roll Call: Lee Yankou

This Roll Call interview from the June 2012 issue of Transworld was the first time that I had heard of Lee Yankou, and I remember instantly becoming a fan when I saw that crooked grind photo. He had a New Jack interview come out in the June 2012 issue of The Skateboard Mag (which I will post right after this), so there was a lot of hype built up around him in a short amount of time, and for good reason: his Business As Usual ender part was nuts!

TWS Pro Spotlight: David Gravette

David Gravette is one of my favorite skateboarders ever, and this June 2012 Transworld cover and his Pro Spotlight within are one of the many reasons why. He can skate any rail, he can do a backflip on a skateboard, and he once glued a lighter to his Nokia. Truly a one-of-a-kind.
