Koston's and Cory's pizza box ollies

In 2013, Nike did a brief "Inspired by Koston" ad series for one of his pro shoes, where a younger Nike rider would be photographed doing a trick that Eric had done in the past, with interesting specs & "stats" given about the spot, skater, etc. It was a really cool idea, and I wish they had done more of them.

The March 2013 Nike ad in that month's issue of Thrasher is a picture of Cory Kennedy ollieing off of a bump and over a couch while holding a box of pizza and biting down on a slice in mid-air. This is an obvious nod to Koston doing the same thing in his 2002 Chomp On This video part, which also appears in a photograph featured in the Extra section of the October 2001 issue of Skateboarder. The picture and Cory's 2013 Nike ad are pictured below.

Nike's "First Sponsor" ad series

This was a pretty interesting ad series that Nike ran for 5 continuous months, from September 2002 to January 2003. These ads I scanned were in Skateboarder; I am assuming that they appeared in other magazines as well, though. I only have Skateboarder issues from this time period.

Also, I can't say with 100% certainty that these were the only ones that they did. I checked in the issues immediately before and after these five months and didn't see any, but that doesn't mean that they didn't extend the ad campaign for a different magazine. 

It looks like Todd Jordan got photo credit for all of these ads. I wonder if it was his idea to do this series?
