For the Cinematographer section of the March 2008 issue, Skateboarder's Adam Salo interviewed Jamie Thomas about what it was like to make one of the most influential skate videos of all-time: Toy Machine's Welcome To Hell. Most of this isn't obscure information, as Jamie has talked about it numerous times in interviews, but still an interesting read.
Cinematographer: Dan Wolfe & Eastern Exposure 3
The Cinematographer section for the February 2008 issue of Skateboarder features Dan Wolfe talking about the skate video that launched his career as a videographer, Eastern Exposure 3. Words by Keir Johnson. It is interesting to see Dan's thoughts on the future of indie skate videos. He was right about indie productions never completely dying; I'm writing this post hours after two new local Twin Cities videos premiered at the opening of After Hours Skateshop.
