Tulio's First Time Skating In The Snow
Sometime in the winter of 2005/2006, Brazilian skateboarder Tulio de Oliveira made his way up to Minneapolis, Minnesota and skated in the snow for the first time in his life when he 50-50'd this popular local rail. Sam McGuire captured the trick, and the sequence with the backstory was published in the July 2006 issue of The Skateboard Mag. You can watch the clip here.
Marisa Dal Santo - Thrasher March 2008 interview
Below is Marisa's brief interview from the 2008 Interview issue of Thrasher. Burnett's questions aren't as offensive as Nieratko's 2010 TSM interview, thankfully. A couple of great photos in this one, including her kickflip melon ender from Strange World. Photos by Burnett and Shigeo.
Jake Donnelly - February 2010 Skateboarder
I believe this was Jake's first full-length interview in a magazine. The scans are a bit off because of water damage. Words by Christian Senrud and photos by Gabe Morford. The front tail frontside flip out on the bay blocks blew my mind when I first saw the sequence.

New Jack: Gilbert Crockett
Appears in the May 2011 issue of The Skateboard Mag. Words by Paul Zitzer and photos by Rodent. I also included the Alien Workshop ad (photo also by Rodent) of him ollieing over the bench and past the stairs, which is in the back of this same issue. The clip is at the end of his Life Splicing part.
Marisa Dal Santo - March 2010 TSM interview
This is the longest interview that Marisa had in a magazine that I could find. All of the photos are sick, and the ollie & thread-the-needle sequence from the opposite side of where the clip was filmed really demonstrates how gnarly that spot is. Unfortunately, Chris Nieratko uses most of the interview space to ask her about which skaters she thinks are dreamy, if she's ever "Frenched a dude", and jokes about her and Elissa Steamer fooling around with each other because they skate for the same board brand.
With one video part, Marisa defied all preconceived notions about what women were capable of doing on a skateboard and inspired an entire generation of skaters, similar to how Elissa had done in the 1990s with her Toy Machine video parts. She deserves more recognition for how much impact she had on our culture during her brief time in the industry.

Danny Renaud: Road To Recovery
This was the first interview with Danny Renaud since his 2008 nine-story fall, which he miraculously survived and recovered from. 15 years later, Danny is still skating enough that he put out a part last year! Jenkem also published an article about the accident and recovery in 2012, and he talked about it in his 2019 Bunt interview as well.

The Emerica Mansion
Written by Aaron Meza, this November 2002 Skateboarder feature gives a brief glimpse into the Emerica Mansion and the skaters who lived in it. This article is a great companion piece to the ON Video segment about it, which came out around the same time as this magazine, as well as the 2018 Jenkem interview with Justin Regan. Portraits were taken by Bethany Black. Skate photo credit is with each photo. There's also a photo sequence in the Contents of Jim Greco getting a trick in the backyard, which I included in here as well.
