Hey There, Hot Stuff: Nike Ams Discover Vixens In Amsterdam
Andy Henrie's write-up of this Nike am trip to Amsterdam features a story about meeting an eccentric family during the trip, which maybe doesn't age so well. Product of its time. Ah well, at least the Ryan Flynn photos are really sick! This article appeared in the January 2009 issue of Skateboarder, and Justin Brock was on the cover with a photo from this same trip.
Flip's (2007) Eurotrashed Tour
The Flip team took a trip through The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and back to The Netherlands in July of 2007, skating demos and getting tricks at spots along the way, some of which would show up in Extremely Sorry. This article also features what might be the first photos of Christoph "Willow" Wildgrube in an American skateboarding magazine. Words by Ewan Bowman, and photos by Thomas Gentsch and Arto Saari.
One thing I remember from seeing this article for the first time was being in awe of the sequence of Willow's varial heelflip. That set is still huge by today's standards.
Hell Yeah! The Nick Trapasso Experience

Hostel Life: Insight in Australia
This article covers an Insight 51 tour to Australia, published in the December 2007 issue of Skateboarder. The "Hostel Life" title comes from the team's hotel accommodations being downgraded to a communal hostel upon arrival. Words and photos by John Bradford. Chad Muska interview - September 2007
Below is Chad Muska's interview from the September 2007 issue of Skateboarder. Unless I am mistaken, I believe this was Chad's last full interview in a magazine. He talks about skate fashion, going to Oscar parties, and feeling reinvigorated with skateboarding after making the move from Shorty's to Element. Words by Adam Salo and photos by Brian Gaberman. Buenos Aires: Breakfast at Diego's
The article summary from the Contents of the May 2005 issue of Skateboarder:
Cover boy Jerry Hsu, Van Wastell, Danny Garcia, Anthony Pappalardo and Rob Pluhowski visit Diego Bucchieri in his homeland of Argentina. And while the tour starts off with maddening moments of misorganization at the Buenos Aires airport, it turns quite lovely in the end.

Recovering Artists
This is a very interesting feature from the July 2002 issue of Skateboarder. In Aaron Meza's words, the magazine's staff mailed out copies of previous issues to "various skaters, art directors, filmers, inmates, and provocateurs to create their own covers" with no guidelines. Below are the results.

Roll-Up Rituals: Skaters and their superstitions
The Quirk section in Skateboarder during the early aughts often featured interesting topics and lists of things about skateboarders that you wouldn't usually think about; one of the many treasures within these early issues (usually written/put together by Mackenzie Eisenhour). I'd never seen this about about skater superstitions until earlier this evening when I scanned it in, and it's one of my favorites.
