Feeling Sheepish in New Zealand

From the April 2005 Skateboarder Contents page summary: "Gareth Stehr hosts a wild excursion through his homeland of New Zealand, where Dan Drehobl, Daniel Shimizu, Alex Klein and Nate Jones deal with gangsterism, caning, and problem gambling, all while Kenny Reed proves he is the Lord of the Pies". Words by Alex Klein and photos by Brian Gaberman.

Going Home: Brad Staba

Brad traveled to his home state of Ohio with Brian Gaberman to shoot this October 2007 Skateboarder feature, accompanied by an interview with Adam Salo.

Make sure you read the caption re: the Confederate flag. Brad doesn't condone it - it is from his dad's house, and this interview was published at a time when it was deemed okay to display the flag as a sign of "innocuous rebellion". I'm including it to keep the article intact to how it was published in 2007, in no way do I condone what that flag symbolizes and represents and its presence on my blog is solely to preserve the article as it originally appeared.

Divulge: Don Nguyen

The Nuge's Divulge interview from the February 2005 issue of Skateboarder. Words and photos by Shad Lambert. I also included a scan of Don's 360 flip sequence for a Hurley ad in the same issue, at the same spot as the cover photo.

10 Spots You Gotta Skate Before You Die

Put together by Adam Salo for the March 2006 issue of Skateboarder.

How many of these have you skated, or at least visited? Only China Banks for me (for now).

Cityscape: Minneapolis

The Cityscape article for Minneapolis, written by Steve Nesser for the March 2006 issue of Skateboarder. Some things have changed since then.
