The culmination is 18 pages of awesome stories and photos of an amalgamation of creative skateboarders.

A Tale of Two Cities: Bones' Midwest Adventure

This article documents a two-week tour the Bones Wheels team took through Illinois (Chicago) and Wisconsin (Milwaukee). It includes Randy Ploesser's infamous photo of the rock & roll attempt on the seawall, which he never rolled away from despite getting very close. When I posted a scan of the photo to my Instagram account in 2022, Randy was kind enough to share it in his story and share a little BTS of trying it. In his words:

"For the record, I never made this, I stuck it several times and rolled away like three feet and got wheelbite and then had to go catch a bus home. After it went in print, I went back to try it again and my board went in the water and I decided it was too hard anyway [...] Also for the record I asked for it to be saved for an interview until I made it, but of course that didn't happen. In Chicago terms, I might as well be posing a switch back noseblunt down Clipper for a cover. It's a damn shame."
