I admittedly didn't know too much about Darren Harper until recently, probably around when he was on The Bunt. This POTE article in the September 2005 issue of The Skateboard Mag gives a good backstory on what it was like for him growing up in DC, and everything that he was up against. It just makes it that much more inspiring to see him still out there to this day and encouraging his daughters in their own skating.
Also, switch 180 5-0 on the tall Pulaski wall is nuts!
