Jumping Someone Else's Train: Rodent's European Rail Experience

This March 2007 The Skateboard Mag article is comprised of photos that Rodent took during a train trip through Europe during the summer of 2006. Some photos are at well-known spot, others are at spots I've never seen before or since. Very cool stuff.

Wanted Men: Harrowing Tales from Morocco

The Contents description for this August 2006 Skateboarder article reads:

It's a narrative of trouble in the Sahara as Kenny Reed, Jack Sabback, Fred Gall, Jerry Hsu, Javier Mendizabal and Tony Cox dodge death in search of the mystical City of Marble. It's a tale of murder, flying carpets, charred pigeons and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Words and photos by Jonathan Mehring.

Our Off Days: 2006 Foundation trip article

The Midwest Vision Quest: Zero Tours the Middle

This article covers a Zero US filming trip that occurred most likely sometime in the summer of 2008, getting clips for the upcoming Strange World full-length video. Lots of gnarly photos in this, including Brockman's front board on the Emage 20 rail in Denver and Garrett's pig ollie in Salt Lake City. And Marisa dal Santos's kickflip front board! Words by Greg Robinson and photos by Bart Jones.

Thessaloniki - December 2006 Skateboarder

Travis Howell and the Planet Earth team's trip to Thessaloniki in the summer of 2006 was documented in an article within the December 2006 issue of Skateboarder, with photos by Ian O'Connor. Possibly the first skate company trip to the second-largest city in Greece?

Chad Tim Tim interview - July 2006

This interview is in one of the first skate magazines I ever read, the July 2006 issue of Skateboarder. Tim Tim's switch crook half-cab flip out sequence has been burned into my brain ever since I saw it all those years ago. If I recall correctly, it was also one of the first times I encountered the term "half-cab". I remember making a mental note to myself to figure out what that meant. Words by Paul Sharpe and photos by John Bradford.

Roll Call: Chad Tim Tim

Chad Tim Tim's Roll Call interview from the June 2010 issue of Transworld. Words by Mackenzie Eisenhour and photos by Brian Gaberman.

Surviving India

This is the article for the India trip that Josh Stewart brings up as his "wildest story" from filming for Static III in his Static VI interview that was in Issue 6 of Closer Skateboarding Magazine. Two bouts of food poisoning and a terrorist attack within 100 feet of your hotel room, I don't know a trip could get more stressful than that. Words and photos by Josh.

¡Guadalajara Guey!

A short-but-sweet article by Jonathan Mehring about a trip to Guadalajara, Mexico. He and Rob G, Danny Montoya, Raymond Molinar and Jose Rojo (and later Steve Nesser, who had been visiting Mazatlan at the same time) stayed at Rob's grandfather's house for a bit, skating the city and eating some of the delicious local cuisine. Mehring ends the article by saying it was "one of the best trips any of us had ever experienced".
